@schmidi_999 doesn’t feel like doing much and is busy so I go out to explore surroundings in Lahore. In my finest traditional outfit I find the courage for having dinner by myself (See Bonus pic). Something that I haven’t been confident enough for a long time. When the waiter hears my accent he’s very surprised. „I thought you were Pashtun. You look like a boy from Hunza valley“, he says. What a compliment 🥹
Thanks again @imranhoath for this incredible birthday gift! 🔥

We take our last day in Pakistan to explore the old historic district of Lahore. After visiting the Wazir Khan Mosque (See Bonus pic) we visit Lahore Fort. There’s plenty of historic sites that attract a lot of tourists, both domestic and international. People come to enjoy time with their families as well as sightseeing. From afar I see these two gentlemen taking a break from walking around in the heat. In almost perfect synchronicity.

It’s time for the long awaited border crossing between Pakistan and India. From Lahore we get a taxi to the border and after meeting the arguably worlds talkest border patrol officer (See Bonus pic) we successfully sweat our way across the border. We stick around in order to see the famous ceremony to lower the flags. To be honest an odd display of patriotism on both sides. Where soldiers from Pakistan and India perform a rehearsed choreography together. At least there is handshake in the end 🤷🏻‍♂️ (See bonus pic). Borders… definitely a concept worth thinking about.
