An early start to go to the beautiful city of Yazd with @artfullifejourney
Deep talks about love, life and success on the rooftops of the historic city Center, a little desert storm in between (See Bonus Video) and to top it all up finally a visit to the Zoroastrian fire temple. I’ve been fascinated with this religion since I first found out about it. Their three pillars of faith: پندار نیک، گفتار نیک، کردار نیک – good thoughts, good words, good deeds – are as simple as they are elegant. And their concept of five forces (See Bonus pic) goes so well with many things I have learned over the last years.

Some of the architecture here in Yazd is just insane. For example this building in Dowlat Abad garden. With the tallest Bad-Gir in the world made of Adobe. (Not the software, but the building material btw) These Windcatchers also dominate the skyline of the historic Center in Yazd and of yourself you’re not alone, when you want to enjoy the sunset on the rooftops (See Bonus Picture). I haven’t been asked for many selfies in Iran but when I do, I turn it around on the photographers and also ask for one.

@golabatoon_events_experiences is a very special place. And the fact that I found it through Couchsurfing is absolutely amazing. Atefeh, the owner, has put a lot of time, money, effort and love into this amazing building complex that’s up to 600 years old. It’s inspiring to hear the story of a fellow traveler who consciously decides to give back to a community by celebrating the local culture. To have a vision and then start bringing it into existence. Soraya, the beautiful Persian Greyhound-Lady (See Bonus Picture) is just the icing on an incredible @couchsurfing cake!
