Seeing videos today of people on the move being violently evicted from their camps in Serbia made me really angry.
I don’t presume or claim to understand the whole spiderweb that is global politics.
But after traveling for two months and constantly hearing the stories of people, who are much less privileged than most citizens of the EU, I do claim to understand one thing.
We all just want the same things:
Not having to live in constant fear and sorrow.
Using the potential that we have as human beings.
Being seen and loved by the people around us.
Express our true selves and being free.
Without harming each other or causing suffering.
Every human being deserves these basic desires to be met. Regardless their heritage, ethnicity, believes, gender or identity.
If that is too much to ask for and we can’t grant each other that, we have failed as a human society.
I will never understand, how people don’t get that.
Trying to be a positive change maker in that sense is why I travel.
That’s why I’m as passionate about scouting as I am!
That’s why I record a podcast called DOVE – the Diary Of Volunteers on Earth!
And that’s why I’m exactly where I need to be. 🤍🕊

Thank you @resalina_360grad and @mvi_org for bringing the horrible things that are happening across Southeastern Europe to my attention and helping me to open my eyes! 🙏🏼
