Birthday reflections incoming! [continued in the comments] When I turned 30 last year, never would I have expected that I would spend my next birthday exploring wild Balochistan off the beaten track on a motorcycle.
I had a job and a steady income.
I had a nice little apartment in my hometown and I had a super comfy comfort zone.
But I also had ideas, I had a vision. I had the strong desire to leave that comfort zone And for 16 years now I’ve had a dream. And without even realising it: I’ve been living it! Lately more than ever!
Visiting every country on our planet. Exploring every corner of beautiful Mother Earth. Meeting people from different cultures, different backgrounds. Connecting with them, diving deep.
Learning about humanity.
Learning about myself.
Learning that we are all one.
Learning that separation is an illusion.
Learning that borders and limitations are constructs.
Learning that life is full of paradoxes that we need to embrace and deal with.
Learning that loving hurts.
Learning that being too open is a measure of protection.
Learning that there is no light without shadow.
Learning that each coin is an onion with multiple sides and layers.
Learning that I am still too attached to things. To feelings. Maybe even to my own dreams?

And yet there is still so much I don’t know. myself, about life, about our collective consciousness, about the mysteries of the universe.
What I know for sure though is that I couldn’t be following my dreams if it wasn’t for incredible privilege. Somehow I ended up with one of the greatest starting hands to the game of life. A “white” (although some would say more red lately 😂) Central European with one x and one Y chromosome. Jackpot! And on top of that I have a loving family that has supported me with my decisions all my life. That has had my back in my shittiest times. A network of friends all over the world through @worldscouting, through @fulbright, through my work experiences abroad.
I don’t know how to express how grateful I am for all of that. For all of you out there taking the time to actually read this and who have been a part of this journey.
My heart goes out to you! 🤍🕊️🙏🏼
And now that I have realised that, I have to figure out how to use this privilege.
How to help others with that privilege while living this dream of mine.
How to effectively make our world a better place.
How to be fully present.
How to give all my feelings room.
How to use my potential to the fullest.
I’m ready to learn more.
I’m ready for the next lap around the sun.
I’m ready for the adventures and the unforgettable moments.
I’m ready for the hardships and problems.
I’m ready for loving and being loved.
I’m ready to live life to the fullest.
Let’s see where I end up next year.
But for now: let’s enjoy the process!i
