I’ve probably not talked about my Dad as much in the last years as I have in the last couple of months. Mainly because it seems to be important in Iran what your Dad does for a living.

But also because again and again I get asked about my travel philosophy, or how I can afford traveling. Again and again I get to answer with the words of one of the wisest people I know. My Dad has told me (and my brothers) many times that money is not everything, or how he put it: „just paper with prints on it“.

He has told me even more times that at the end of your time the thing that matters the most is the sum of your experiences and memories. And if the positive ones outweigh the negative ones, you are able to claim you have lived a happy life.

Today I wasn’t able to spend Father’s day with him and my family because I am out making those experiences. And I hope you forgive me for that @klemensillek! I promise that we will make more of those positive memories together in the future!

I couldn’t wish for a more loving and wise father and as seen in the third picture, by now I’ve fully embraced the fact that I become more similar to you every year 😜 Happy Father’s day! Hab dich lieb! 😘
